Juan brings over 15 years of extensive experience in investment banking, having advised both family-owned businesses and multinational corporations across Latin America and Spain. His expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring, and complex capital raising processes in both emerging and developed markets, encompassing private and public sectors.
Throughout his career, Juan has worked with clients from a wide range of industries, including gaming, leisure and hospitality, packaging, energy, food & beverage, and construction. His experience spans numerous jurisdictions, including Colombia, the United States, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, and several countries throughout Central America and the Caribbean.
Juan’s background includes more than six years at Violy and Company, a renowned boutique financial advisory firm specializing in Ibero-American markets, with offices in Bogotá and New York. Additionally, he has spent over ten years advising companies in Latin America on capital raising and M&A transactions.
Fluent in French, Spanish, and English, Juan holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor of Economics, both from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, where he graduated magna cum laude. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the London Business School and is a CFA® Charterholder.
